Judge deprived of powers in Azerbaijan

On Wednesday the Judicial-Legal Council of Azerbaijan decided to deprive the Imishli district court judge Gubadali Rzayev of the office for his repeated breaches of the law and negative activities, the Council reported.

It was also noted that administrative paperwork has started against the seven judges because of the violation of human rights and other offenses.

In 2010, 21 judges were made answerable in order to address the serious flaws and flagrant violations. Three of them were deprived of judicial powers, three of them changed their place of work, also reprimands were given and other administrative penalties were used.
