Azerbaijan, Northern Cyprus discuss media situation

Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov said Azerbaijani journalists visited the Northern Cyprus a few times. The last visit took place in November last year in order to learn more about media outlets existing in the Northern Cyprus.

Head of the Northern Cyprus` representative office Zaki Gazioglu said reciprocal visits play a key role in deepening bilateral cooperation.

Rector of the Dogu Akdeniz University Abdullah Oztoprag told of his facility, adding 160 Azerbaijani students are currently studying at the university.

Executive Director of the State Media Development Support Foundation Vugar Safarli said his organization would organize new visits to the Northern Cyprus in order to exchange experience among journalists.
