Organizations not insuring staff to be fined in Azerbaijan

The key aim of the meeting was to inform the people about requirements of law on Insurance against Industrial Accident and Occupational Disease that Caused Disability.

According to Maharram Maharov, deputy Chairman of the State Labour Inspectorate, 2.3 mln persons die as the result of Industrial Accident. According to law, if the workers are injured during the work, the State Labour Inspectorate must be informed. Otherwise, the company must be fined for AZN 2 000.

He also noted that, this law will concern to individuals, individual persons engaging in entrepreneurship without establishing legal entity and all institutions of foreign countries as legal entity: “Coming the same law into force will exempt the companies from these expenditures and the expenses will be paid by insurance company. The sum to be paid will depend on the injury”.

Representatives of several insurance companies attended the meeting.
