Azeriqaz official arrested for taking bribes

An official of the Yasamal district gas exploitation department "Azeriqaz" has been arrested for taking bribes.

Allahverdiyev Abulfat, the head of the industrial group of the Yasamal gas exploitation department "Azeriqaz" and the chief of the service on industrial facilities took bribes worth 350 manat from Shakhnazarov Zakir from May to December 2009 for uninterrupted supplying the bakery shop with gas. He created favorable conditions for business activity, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office said.

Using his powers, Allahverdiyev took2,400 manat from Zakir Shakhnazarov in December 2009. He is charged on article 311.1  of the criminal code.
