Organizations not insuring staffs are to be fined in Azerbaijan starting from next year

The organizations not insuring staffs under the “Compulsory Insurance against Industrial Accidents & Occupational Diseases” insurance type, will be fined for 1500 AZN, head of the Main State Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour & Social Protection Maharram Maharov told APA.

According to him, there are 400 000 employers in Azerbaijan and these organizations must insure staffs compulsory: “According to law on “Compulsory Insurance against Industrial Accidents & Occupational Diseases” MPs of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, persons having military or special rank, all persons paying insurance premium will be insured”.

He also noted that, the fines would be concerned to legal entities, individuals engaging in business without establishment legal entity and all institutions of foreign countries established as legal entity.

Note that, the law will be executed by The State Insurance Supervision Service under the Ministry of Finance, the Main State Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour & Social Protection and Medical Social Expert Commissions.
