A fire occurred at the territory of trade fair adjacent to market in 8-th kilometre settlement in Baku about 10:30 pm on Monday.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on the fire that took place in 8th Kilometer Market Trade Center in Baku. 4500 square-meter trade stalls and merchandises there burned as a result of fire in the trade center located at Nakhchvanski Street in Nizami district of Baku, ministry’s website said.
Baku residents Tofig Zulfugarov, Javid Balayev, Rasim Jalilov, Azizi Karimov, Aslan Guliyev, Javid Yagubov and Igor Gurguzov were hospitalized with injuries. The fact is being investigated.

Firefighters managed to entirely extinguish the fire. According to preliminary information, no one was hurt during the fire. As a result of the accident, goods that were present at the fair sustained heavy damage. According to the Emergency Ministry staff who are at the scene, the fire covered an area of approximately two thousand square meters.
