NATO hosts ecological seminar in Sumgait city

A seminar on the subject “Processing of the sewage sludge” started in Sumgait city of Azerbaijan as a part of NATO project “Population health in Azerbaijan and environment pollution”.
Specialists of German Ludwigshafen participate in the seminar. Rector of Sumgait State University Nadir Gahramanov and NATO project coordinator Peter Libenau touched on importance of the project in solution of ecological problems of Sumgait.

The program is being implemented under aegis of German Association for Technical Cooperation and Federal Ministry of Development and Cooperation.

The partnership relations between Sumgait and Ludwigshafen have been rapidly developing since 1977. During this period, numerous projects have been implemented in Sumgait city, including opening of the German language center, school for diabetics and the blind.
