"Inclinations of radicalism, even extremism are observed in some little circles in Azerbaijan. We cannot deny their existence," chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee for Work with Religious Associations Hidayet Orujov said.
The Chairman noted that those little circles had not any support from Azerbaijani nation, as well as from believers: “Intellect, outlook of Azerbaijani nation, society reject such inclinations unanimously and do not accept it. And these are great realities. Unfortunately, some groups - for their own interests, interests of groups, economic interests try to take steps against morality, culture, level, national moral values, the will of our nation by accepting support from some foreign organizations. But none of them has perspective. Generally, they have not chances to form any opinion, impact on political, social processes in Azerbaijani society.”
Orujov said that situation on bringing religious literature to the country had completely been stabilized, there was no problem in this sphere.
