Allahshukur Pashazadeh to discuss return of Mubariz Ibrahimov’s body with Patriarch Cyril

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-al-Islam Haji Alahshukur Pashazadeh put forward an initiative to meet with All-Russian and Moscow Patriarch Cyril, spokeswoman for the Caucasian Muslims Office Rahima Dadashova told APA.

Dadashova said Sheik-al-Islam and Patriarch Cyril were regularly meeting as co-chairs of the CIS Inter-Religions Council. The Moscow Patriarchy will inform the Caucasian Muslims Office about the schedule of the next meeting initiated by Sheikh-al-Islam.

“Generally issues of the inter-religions dialogue in CIS are discussed in these meetings. This time Sheikh will discuss the issue of assistance by Patriarch Cyril in returning Azerbaijani ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov’s body, which has a great importance for Azerbaijan”. Sheikh-al-Islam and Patriarch Cyril are expected to meet in Moscow.
