Azerbaijan to clear coastal sea areas on occasion of "Caspian Sea Day"

Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources on the occasion of the "Day of the Caspian Sea" will conduct works to coastal sea areas. Municipalities, NGOs, companies and organizations, as well as the relevant structures of the Ministry are involved in the Ministry's activities.

Since 2006, after ratification of the Tehran Convention by five Caspian countries, which envisages the protection of the Caspian Sea from pollution, the restoration of the marine environment, August 12 is marked as the "Day of the Caspian Sea".
