A well-known hospital will be closed in the center of Baku

A well-known city traumatological hospital in the center of Baku, near the Molokan Garden is about to be closed. The hospital is known for its experienced doctors, who work under difficult conditions.

According to Vesti.Az, the hospital itself does not look like a hospital in the center of a city, proper reconstruction was needed to be done here a long time ago. Yet it was not.

One of the doctors, who spoke to Vesti.Az, said that the building was so old, that it definately needed reconstruction.

"Some time ago these reconstruction works did start. However, later, we were informed that the hospital will be closed, and needless to say we were very dissapointed. How can this kind of hospital be closed? Many professional doctors work here, and during the Karabakh war, our hospital was the one receiving the wounded soldiers," said doctor Abdullayev.

According to the doctor, some time later, a representative of Azerbaijani Health Ministry visited the hospital, and said, that the whole personnel would pe spread out to other hospitals.

The press-service of Azerbaijani Health Ministry stated the following on this issue: "The buiding, where this hospital is set, is in emergency condition, and because of this, the hospital will be closed. The personnel of the hospital will be redirected to other hospitals. Nothing to worry about."

There is no information about what will be built, when the old building gets demolished.
