Heydar Aliyev Scholarship to be created in Greece

The Heydar Aliyev Scholarship is expected to be established in one of the most prestigious universities in Greece - at the Athens Economics University upon the Azerbaijani embassy's initiative, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev told the Azerbaijani students in Athens. The university's students will be awarded this scholarship for the best scientific research dedicated to Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani-Greek relations, Mustafayev said.

"I have already met with the university rector and he appraised this initiative. We plan to create a jury, determine the list of interesting topics and submit them to the Greek students' competition. The best works will be evaluated and the authors will get the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan in the future" he said.

This initiative will become a kind of promotion of the Greek youth' interests in Azerbaijan, Mustafayev said.

"The project is going to start from the next academic year," Mustafayev added.
