Monitoring on quality of soft drinks and ice cream started in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economic Development will conduct monitoring to protect the consumer market from low quality and dangerous for human health food products in Baku and the country's regions to inspect quality of soft drinks and ice cream, the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, in connection with the summer season sales of ice cream and soft drinks increased in markets. In case of revealing facts of violations by the economic entities they will be subjected to appropriate fines under the law. The State Service recommends that markets to comply with legislation on the sale of soft drinks and ice cream, and urges consumers to be careful when buying these products.
