Azerbaijani railway officials meet representatives of Chinese locomotive manufacturer

Officials of the "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint Stock Company (ADDY) have met representatives of Chinese Chyuchozhu electric locomotive company. ADDY`s deputy chairman Gurban Nazirov said purchase of new locomotives was part of reforms aimed at further improving the activities of the company

“In this regard, we are carrying on negotiations with various foreign companies. As the Azerbaijan railway plans to use alternating current locomotives, it needs to buy new locomotives”.

He said this process would be realized in accordance with international standards of sale and purchase. Representative of the Chinese company Pen Fenyuan expressed their desire to participate in a process of replacing the fleet of locomotives. Fenyuan gave detailed information about their products. Chinese company representatives presented electronic versions of locomotives to the meeting participants.
