UNICEF regional director briefs journalists on visit to Azerbaijan

Allen said as part of the visit, he had some important meetings with Azerbaijani officials to discuss the current state of children in the country. He said some progress had made in Azerbaijan for development of healthcare sector and integration of children into society.

Allen pointed out Azerbaijan's economy is developing rapidly, so using this opportunity certain works are possible to be done to address issues regarding social protection of children. He also hailed the relationship between Azerbaijan and UNICEF.
