Driver beats police officer to death in Azerbaijan

The incident took place in Mukhtaria village of the region at 02:00 a.m. Driver Elshan Kazimov killed a traffic police officer Mehman Mammadov.

When the police officer stopped Kazimov’s car to check his documents, the driver turned out to be drunk and the policeman insisted on alcohol test. The quarrel ensued when the driver refused to follow orders, and started hitting the officer on the head with a heavy stone. Naturally, as a result of this, Mehman Mammadov died. The driver has later been arrested, and the suit has been filed over the case.
