Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations: Residential house exploded in Baku

Explosion took place in the kitchen of a three-room apartment total area of 45 square meters belonging to a resident of Nizami district of Baku, the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

There was no fire in the explosion.

As a result of the accident windows and door were broken. The balcony was destroyed. A son of the owner of the house was taken to hospital.

According to the preliminary assumptions, gas leak was the cause of the explosion. The investigation is underway.
