Azerbaijani soldiers killed as a result of a deadly traffic accident - UPDATE

Another soldier of Azerbaijani Armed Forces died as a result of traffic accident that occurred in Lerik region of the country on Saturday. Elchin Gurbanov died on Sunday at a military hospital of the city of Lankaran.

Azerbaijani State Border Service's car carrying 18 soldiers turned over and fell into the gorge in the Guneshli village on the 45 km of the Lerik-Lankaran highway, Lerik Region Prosecutor Salman Samedov told Trend News. According to him, the car was carrying demobilized soldiers.

According to Salman Samadov, five soldiers of the armed forces of Azerbaijan died on the spot, 13 injured.

State Border Service has not yet confirmed the death of the soldier Elchin Gurbanov.

Lankaran is situated in 313 km from the capital Baku.

Four soldiers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces died and 14 injured as a result of the traffic accident in the Lerik region.

The State Border Service's car carrying 18 soldiers crashed and fell into the gorge in the Guneshli village on the 45 km of the Lerik-Lankaran highway, Lerik Region Prosecutor Salman Samedov said.

According to him, the car was carrying demobilized soldiers. The injured have been taken to the Lankaran region hospital, the prosecutor said.
