Azerbaijan files criminal case on suicide in medical facility of Penal Service

A criminal case has been filed on the fact of suicide committed on March 24 in the medical facility of the Penitentiary service on Article 125 (bringing to suicide) of the Criminal Code and investigation is underway, Nizami District Prosecutor's Office said.

The prosecutor's office didn't emphasize further comments regarding causes of the suicide, pleading the secrecy of the investigation.

Seyfullaev was accused of participation in an organized group, rendered harmless January 13 as a result of operational activities undertaken by the Ministry of National Security and the State Customs Committee. Members of the group transported over 31 kilograms of drugs to Azerbaijan from Iran.
