Day of Azerbaijanis' Genocide to be marked in Saint Petersburg

Azerbaijan's General Consulate in Saint Petersburg will hold numerous events on the occasion of March 31 – the Day of Azerbaijanis' Genocide.

A conference, which is to bring together officials, heads of the diplomatic corps and members of Azerbaijani Diaspora, will focus on Azerbaijanis' Genocide committed by Armenian nationalists at the 20th century.

A book “Karabakh diary” by the well-known Russian writer, professor Yury Pompeyev will be presented at the conference.

This book was prepared as part of international campaign “Justice for Khojaly” initiated by chief coordinator on Intercultural Dialogue of OIC Youth Forum Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva.

A photo exhibition on monuments destroyed at the occupied Azerbaijani territories will be organized as well.

Besides, a documentary film on “Cultural heritage of Azerbaijan's Nagorno Karabakh region: yesterday and today” will be demonstrated.
