30 March 2010 [15:03] - TODAY.AZ
Employees of Azerbaijani Ombudsman's office have revealed illegal deprivation of liberty of a citizen, detained in the temporary detention facility of the Police Gakh region.

This fact was revealed during the visits of Sheki Regional Center staff of Ombudsman's Office to the temporary detention facility of police departments from Gakh and Zagatala regions, the Ombudsman's office said.

While examining the documents about detention of a resident of Zagatala region in the temporary detention facility, illegal deprivation of his liberty was revealed.

This citizen was arrested on March 11 by investigator of the Police in Gakh region as a suspect and was illegally detained in prison until the visit of the Centre's staff.

It was found that the records, drawn up towards man detained in the temporary detention facility in Gakh region, and another man detained in the temporary detention facility of Zagatala region, have not been certified in accordance with the "Rules of internal discipline in the temporary detention facility" and the official stamp.

The relevant acts were drawn up due to the revealed offenses involving heads of temporary detention facility.
