Address register project underway in Azerbaijan

The goal is to create address register in Azerbaijan and promote functioning of this system in conformity with the international standards.

Representatives of the Norwegian Cartography Agency paid a visit to Baku to meet with the officials of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Property Affairs of (ASCPA) to discuss implementation of the project, communications rules, and discussion of the distribution of responsibility during implementation of the project and other executive issues, as well as professional consultation for the project.

The Norwegian government provided 3 million of Norwegian krones as grant for the project on improvement of system of addresses in Azerbaijan. The project has been started since December 1, 2009, and it is expected to be completed on June 30, 2011.
