Azerbaijan bans New Year parties at schools

"We have never approved sale of tickets for New Year festivities at schools," Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov said.
"School is not the place for sale of tickets. Tickets should be sold in theaters and cinemas,” Education Minister Misir Mardanov said.

"Taking into account several incidents that happened in past years, Baku Education Department had banned New Year parties at schools. This ban is still effective," the minister said.
