Caucasus Muslims Board granted registration

Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Structures Hidayat Orujov presented the registration certificate of the Caucasian Muslims Office to Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade on Nov. 24.

Making a speech at the event on this occasion Orujov said Azerbaijan has started reregistration of religious communities.

He said the committee had received over 200 documents and a part of the appeals had already been granted.

“Caucasian Muslims Office was registered first. We registered it as a religious center. Tomorrow we will begin presenting the certificates to other communities," Orujov said.

In its turn, Pashazade noted that specific opinion about the religious men had been recently formed in the society.

“Before we had some misunderstanding with the committee. We were even in the 138th place among the registered religious communities. Now we are the first. Everything has been all right since Hidayat Orujov was appointed chairman of the committee,” he said.
