First ladies of Georgia and Azerbaijan to cooperate in joint projects

On October 9, the second day of Sandra Elizabeth Roelofs visit to Baku, she held a meeting with Mekhriban Aliyeva, first lady of Azerbaijan.

Mekhriban Aliyeva and Sandra Roelofs visited the Ministry of Health Care of Azerbaijan and held a meeting with minister Oktai Shiraliev. During the meeting, attention was drawn to the need to join together to fight tuberculosis and oncological diseases. Sandra Roelofs noted with regret that Georgia and Azerbaijan were among the countries with the highest number of cases of tuberculosis.
