180 people killed, 551 injured as a result of 520 traffic accidents within first term of this year

According to APA, 3000 drivers have been detained because of their driving in drunken condition. 520 road-traffic accidents have been registered. 180 people died as a result of it, 551 injured.

In comparison with relative period of last year the number of people died in traffic accidents has increased 35 persons (12.2%), injured have decreased 0.9%.

Violating the traffic rules by drivers - 465 (89,4%), as well as 19,4 for increase of speed, 9.4% violation of passage crossing, 1,7% happened as a result of drunken condition. 226 (51,2%) of traffic accidents has resulted in colliding pedestrians.16(8,p) child and juvenile died, 42 (7,6%) injured. 10 of died child and juveniles, 25 of pedestrians are pedestrians. In general, 142 of 180 people died are men (78,9%), 38% are women.
