1465 crime facts related to drugs registered in Azerbaijan in 2005

APA was informed from the State Commission on Drug Addiction and Illicit Drugs Trafficking.

According to the information, 453 of these crimes are related to the illicit traffic.202 kg of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances including 11 kg 173 grams of heroine, 35 kg 677 grams of opium, 16 kg 796 kg of hashish, more than 139 kg of marihuana, 11 thousand 69 pills, 10 ampoules of psychotropic medicine were taken from different persons in the past 6 months.

1.459 persons, as well as 42 foreign citizens were called to account for illicit drug trafficking in the 6 months of the current year.19 of the foreigners are citizens of Iran, 18 of Georgia, 2 from Afghanistan, 2 from Russia, 1 from Ukraine. More than 10 kg of various narcotic drugs were confiscated from them. More than 212 tons of illicit drug plants were found out and destroyed.
