“I warmly welcome the participants of the 13th Humanitarian Forum. I was fortunate enough to become a laureate of the “Commonwealth Stars” award and be among you. I am glad that by strengthening the bonds of the commonwealth, we understand how important it is in the modern world to be in harmony with each other. Whenever there is such an opportunity, we should promote the exchange of knowledge, ideas, cultural experiences, plans and hopes for the future,” Acad. Pashayeva said addressing the event.

“Not everyone can be geniuses like Copernicus, Einstein, Tolstoy, write “Khamsa” like Nizami, renounce life for the sake of a creative idea like Nasimi. But we all, whether we want it or not, carry a piece of the big light that these great people – the creators of the beauty of harmony and knowledge – left for all mankind. They and their immortal heritage are the everlasting stars on our way,” she said.

Acad. Pashayeva expressed her sincere gratitude for the high award.

“With your permission, I want to use the monetary reward for the benefit of the students of the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University that I head. I intend to allocate this reward for the scholarship of the best student of our university,” she added.

“Recently, we have solemnly celebrated one of the brightest events in the history of Azerbaijan. The country celebrated the centenary of the first republic. The Azerbaijani people built the first independent and democratic republic in the Muslim East. And for a century, the Azerbaijanis, despite the historical cataclysms, repressions, executions, persecutions and threats, have always remembered this great event and honored the founding fathers of our republic, the great representatives of that era. Azerbaijan has always been and continues to be proud of its democratic and republican traditions,” Acad. Pashayeva said.

“Once again I express my gratitude to all the organizers of this great event, the purpose of which is to serve the public good and strengthen humanitarian ties. Congratulations to all the awardees, our whole team, I wish each of you inspiration, good health and success in all your endeavors!” she concluded.
