Employees of the State Border Service (SBS) stopped the attempt of three Nepalese citizens to enter Azerbaijan with fake electronic visas, says a message from the SBS.

During the passport control of the passengers arriving on the Sharjah-Baku flight, it was found that they had submitted to the border control officers electronic visas belonging to citizens of other states.

The documents submitted by the three were sent for verification to a laboratory, where it was established that the electronic visa submitted by the Nepali citizen Ali Bakhshi Godrollah was issued for a citizen of Iran Shahi Ram Bahadur, the e-visa submitted by Hand Satrughman was issued for a citizen of the Czech Republic Mosek Ondrej, and the electronic visa submitted by Thapa Sunan was issued for the British citizen Gasim Ali Shah.

During the investigation, it was found out that these Nepalese citizens wanted to illegally migrate to Europe in transit through Azerbaijan.

It was also found out that the citizens of Nepal purchased these visas in their country for $100.

Appropriate operational and investigative measures are being carried out in respect of foreign detainees.
