A strong snowstorm hit Baku and other cities of Azerbaijan, with heavy snow falling overnight, and affecting the traffic.
Despite the treacherous weather, the flights from and to Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport were not affected.
The Airport told Trend that it lacks any problem in its activity and the snowfall did not delayed any flight.
“Departure and arrival of flights are going as planned, all services are operating normally," -the agency reported.
However, as usually snow hampered the traffic on Baku roads.
Maximum allowable speed on all roads reduced and the speed on the road in the direction to Baku Airport decreased to 60 km/h.
Traffic congestion is observed in some streets of Baku, while a number of small accidents reported.
Unstable weather will continue throughout the country until February 2 afternoon.
