Baku Railway Station soon to welcome passengers [PHOTO]

Azerbaijani Railways (ADY) is completing the modernization of the Baku Railway Station, launched in March 2015.

The upgraded Baku Railway Station is expected to be commissioned in the coming days.

The facade of the building, opened in 1884, is renewed with keeping of architectural style. The station’s building design inside has been reconstructed fully that will enable to offer additional services, including free WI-FI, to passengers.

All the platforms and objects have been reconstructed. There were established ASAN service points.

Azerbaijani Railways CJSC was established in summer 2009. The current length of railways of Azerbaijan is 2,989 kilometers, while the volume of transportation at the end of 2015 amounted to 18 million tons, of which 9.6 million tons were international. The company’s car park included 19,987 units by the beginning of August 2016.
