Baku Humanitarian Forum impressive for its scope

The Baku International Humanitarian Forum is impressive for its scope – it is a success of Azerbaijan, Xue Cheng, president of the Buddhist Association of China, told reporters Sept. 30 in Baku.

Xue Cheng made the remarks at the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum, which kicked off Sept. 29 in Azerbaijan’s capital.

“Our delegation came to the forum from China at the kind invitation of minister of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan,” said Cheng.

“We are happy to represent here China, which has a 2,000-year tradition of tolerance and we are here today to share our experience of multiculturalism,” noted Cheng. “This is very important, useful and effective.”
