New historical monument found in Jalilabad

New cultural monument has been found in Jalilabad region, National Academy of Sciences reported.

A resident of Jalilabad region, Anar Qasimov discovered burial of great historic importance.

The burial contained more than 70 multi-colored decorations of various sizes and human bones.

Historian Elshad Amanov said that jewelry made of shells with a diameter of 80 cm burial is the first burial of its kind discovered in the southern region.

Amanov thinks that human remains founded in burial belong 9-12 years old girl.

The National Academy of Sciences is the main state research organization and the primary body that conducts research and coordinates activities in the fields of science and social sciences in Azerbaijan. It was established in 1945.
