Dead Azerbaijani climber’s book gets published

The tragic news of Azerbaijan's famous mountain climber Murad Ashurly, who died on October 21 last year on his way down from Ama Dablam in the Himalayas left Azerbaijani sports community in sorrow.

In order to fulfill Murad’s last wish, the book “Find Your Everest”, written by Ashurly has been published by the common efforts of his friends, colleagues and the "Ericsson" Company's leadership.

The presentation of the book has taken place at the offices of the Ericsson Company, where Ashurly worked since 1998, in Dallas, the press service of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation reported.

His cousin the prominent climber Israfil Ashurly, the head of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation also attended the presentation.

Emphasizing on the role of Murad's friends, colleagues and the "Ericsson" Company's leadership, I. Ashurly said that, they realized Murad's last wish.

Two thousand copies of the book printed in English can be ordered on the Internet.

In 2007, Murad successfully conquered McKinley the highest peak of North America.
Murad Ashurly is the third Azerbaijani to climb Everest (8848 m) and Kangchenjunga, completing the Seven Summits challenge in 2013.

Ashurly, 42, made a successful ascent to the mountain Ama Dablam, as part of a commercial exhibition of the Seven Summits Club along with eight other climbers

He died after falling about 300 meters downhill after his rope snapped, on his way down from Camp 2 to Camp 1.
