Weather to normalize in Azerbaijan

Weather forecasts have good news for guests and residents of Azerbaijan. The unexpected weather is now supposed to give its place to a normal weather soon.

The weather will stabilize on October 22-23, the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.

The sky over Baku and Absheron Peninsula will be filled with rainy clouds and the southwest wind will blow on October 21. The temperature is expected to be 7-10 degrees C at night and 15-19 degrees C during the day.

In Azerbaijani regions, the weather will be rainy and the west wind will to blow. In low-lying areas, the temperature will be from three degrees C below zero to two degrees C above zero at night and 5-10 degrees C during the day.

Recently, the weather in the territory of Azerbaijan has sharply deteriorated with gusty southwest wind blowing all time. As a result of rainfalls, the water level in the rivers has risen.

In the morning, the temperature in Baku was above the normal level by two degrees, but in the evening it sharply fell.

The bad weather brought adversities to Baku residents. As a result of strong wind the roof of a residential building was demolished. The roof of school ?225 was also damage during the terrible weather.

Heavy rains were observed in Lankaran-Astara regions. Most precipitations (70 mm, 26 per cent of the monthly norm) fell in Astara, while less precipitations - in low-lying areas (1-5 mm).

The sleet was seen in some regions. So, Guba and Gusar regions were hit by sleet, the thickness of which was 16cm.
