Although many countries such as Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Georgia, as well as developed countries like Japan, China, South Korea have decided not to turn to winter time, Azerbaijan announced that it will not follow their footsteps, putting an end to hot debate about this issue.
Azerbaijan will apply seasonal time settings and this issue will not be discussed any further, the Cabinet of Ministries said on October 9.

Azerbaijan's Cabinet has decided to change time twice a year since March 1997.
Annually, in the last Sunday of March at 04:00, clocks are moved forward to one hour for transition to summer time, and one hour back in the last Sunday of October at 05:00 for transition to winter time.
Thus, time-clocks will be moved back by one hour on October 26 in Azerbaijan to switch to winter time.
History of time transition goes back to the beginning of the last century. Thus, the first transition was carried out in the UK in 1908. However, the idea came from Benjamin Franklin.

Some years ago, professionals explained the seasonal time change by the fact that it allows to save more energy. Even if the benefits are insignificant it positively influences to the country's economy.
Sometimes the transition is accompanied by unpleasant cases; some people are late for work, plane or train. However, if there is no transition, we would have been forced to wake up and see the darkness outside the window, which is very painful for many people.
For many working people, this is very good news, as they don't have to wake up early morning particularly in winter when the morning hours are a little bit dark.
The human body is a unique system. Biological clock works in a way that in the dark all our systems are slowed. That's why transition here may positively affect human organism.

Some professionals claim that if to begin classes in schools a half-hour later, children's performances would improve and they would wake up in the morning easier.
However, some doctors state that the constant change in the procedure of time changing does not always have a positive effect on some people's health and the lifestyle.

From a medical point of view, transition, itself, is painfully perceived by some people. Stress and the pressure increases in patients with hypertension. It takes about two to three weeks for them to adapt to the new time.
That is why people, who consider themselves to be at risk should prepare their bodies for such a change in advance.

Have a good health not negatively affected by time change!
