Goranboy region hit by earthquake

An earthquake jolted Azerbaijan's Goranboy city on Thursday, April 17.

The earthquake was registered at 19:25 local time, 32 kilometres south-west of Mingachevir city, at a depth of 12 kilometres, Republican Seismology Center of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told Trend.

Its magnitude was 3.4, and no tremors were felt.

Goranboy city is located in the north-west of Azerbaijan, 327 kilometres away from the capital Baku.
