Interior Ministry clarifies issue on isolation of homosexuals in Baku

The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry has denied press reports about isolating more than 100 homosexuals.

Reports about a special operation against homosexuals in Baku is untrue and is a provocation against the Azerbaijani state, Interior Ministry spokesman Sadig Gozalov told Trend on Tuesday.

Some media outlets reported earlier that a special operation has been conducted in Baku against homosexuals and they will not be let into the city and be kept under strict control before the end of the Eurovision Song Contest.
