'Armenians barbarously destroy Azerbaijan’s monuments in occupied territories'

“Over 350 cultural monuments, cemeteries and temples have been left in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenians,” said Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, APA reports.

“Today, we cannot control the situation of the monuments in the occupied territories, this is our pain”.

The minister underlined that the historical monuments of Azerbaijan in the occupied territories are being barbarously destroyed and insulted: “One needs to draw world’s attention to these facts in all international conferences.”

Garayev recalled that as a result of Azerbaijani President’s policy, historical monuments in the country were reconstructed: “Icherisheher Reserve is an example for the world. It shows that it is possible to protect cultural heritage in the developing modern large city”.
