How to get data on new buildings in Baku ?

Today, not all the buildings constructed in Baku are registered by the State Admission Committee, that is, these buildings lack the act on the suitability for occupation, CEO of the MBA LTD consulting company Nusrat Ibrahimov said.   

“Prior to purchasing an apartment in the new building, one should inquire about the construction documents. For example, if a citizen wants to buy an apartment in the new building, he/she must apply to the building and loan association and ask them to show a copy of the act on suitability of the building for occupation.  The customer has a full right to require this document, and the building and loan association, in turn, is obliged to give this act. In case of the lack of this document, the customer had better to refrain from buying the apartment,” he said.

Ibrahimov said one of the copies should be kept at the local executive authorities. "In addition, the data on new building are registered ay the special register under the Emergency Situations Ministry. This office has information on the residential buildings that registered as suitable for occupation.  However, these data are not intended to be viewed by citizens,” the expert said.
