SOCAR`s International Education Centre and British education consultancy Gabbitas have signed an agreement on cooperation. The "Agreement on education consultancy on setting up an international school" was signed by SOCAR vice-president for personnel, management and information technology and chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan International Education Centre, Khalik Mammadov, and Gabbitas Director General Ian Hunt.
Fuad Suleymanov, head of SOCAR`s Training, Education and Certification Department, and Graeme Pollock, newly appointed headmaster of the Baku Talents School, attended the signing ceremony. Gabbitas School Consultancy Services have been working with SOCAR on the creation of the Baku Talents School.
The independent school of 1,200 pupils will have an early years` program and a junior and senior school, Gabbitas said on its website. Early years classes will start in September 2012, with the junior school due to start four months later. The doors will open for seniors in September 2013.
