Iran produces over 40 computer games: official

Iran has so far produced more than 40 computer games which have been welcomed enthusiastically by the consumers, IRNA reported.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Fifth International Media Festival and Exhibition, production deputy of Iran's Computer Game National Foundation, Mohammad Mehdi Behvar-Rad added that supporting game-making industry and controlling foreign games and creating suitable market for domestic products are among the duties of the Foundation.

Pointing to 'Black Gold' game as a new product, he said that in this game, children conduct different stages of oil production from extraction to its sale.

As to the exhibition, he said that it is excellent and only the Iranian games have been allowed in and this is in the interest of the local products.

Fifth International Media Festival and Exhibition opened at Imam Khomeini Grand Praying Ground (Mosalla) on October 5 and will continue until October 15.

The event attended by representatives from 30 countries, will be held in nine sections including media software, mobile software, computer games, websites, digital arts, international section and productions of cultural centers.
