Mine blast kills soldier in eastern Turkey

A soldier died in a mine explosion in Baskale town of the eastern province of Van on Saturday, governor's office said, Anadolu Agency reported.

A statement of Van Governor's Office said a landmine went off in Baskale on Friday, killing a private.

The statement said public and military prosecutors had launched an investigation into the mine blast.
