First Iran-Turkey Conference focusing on West Azarbaijan province will be held here from October 4-7, said head of the provincial Commerce Organization.
Talking to IRNA, Jafar Sadeq Eskandari added that the event will seek to facilitate commercial exchanges between the two neighboring states.
The conference will also help Iran have a greater share of Turkish market, he said, noting that topics for discussion include transportation, transit, standard and hygiene.
In the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21) some 48, 809 tons of goods worth $23,748,000 were exported to Turkey, registering a 16 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year, Eskandari said.
