Istanbul gets ready to rock with Rock’n Coke festival

Turkey’s largest open-air event, Rock’n Coke, will take place this weekend at Istanbul’s Hezarfen Airport, promising festival-goers an escape from city life with multi-genre live acts and DJ performances across several music stages.

Rock’n Coke will feature four stages this year, each showcasing a different genre of acts as well as a full camping area with capacity for 10,000 tents.

Among the groups that will perform on the main stage will be Limp Bizkit, Motörhead, Travis, Moby, Paolo Nutini, Skunk Anansie, 2manydjs, The Kooks, Athena, Duman, Kurban, Çilekeş, Gripin and Friendly Fires.

Thievery Corporation, Aloe Blacc, Beach House, Tunng, İlhan Erşahin’s İstanbul Sessions, Melis Danişmend, The Qemists, Gaslamp Killer, FM Belfast, Curry&Coco, Acid Washed, Golem, Fuchs & Cervus, Kaan Sezyum aka DJ Sarıyılan, Grup Ses Beats, Hemi Behmoaras, Soaked, Mabbas & Style-İst, Club Bangkok and Dancing Birds Feel The Beatfarklı will all perform on the Vodafone Freezone Stage.

The third stage of the festival, the Coca-Cola Zero Stage, will feature Mogwai, Dum Dum Girls, The Black Lips, Electrelane, Chapel Club, Esben and The Witch, Deja – vu, Dengesiz Herifler, She Past Away, Hakan Tamar, On Your Horizon, To Mexico With Love, Post, Social Inclusion Band and Kül.
