Iran inaugurates embassy in Slovenia

Iran inaugurates an embassy in Slovenia today, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said to reporters upon arriving in this country, Fars News Agency reported.

According to Salehi, Slovenia has four embassies in Asian countries including Iran and official Tehran opens its embassy Ljubljana today.

Salehi said the tournover between two countris comes to $ 100 million and this figure is satisfactory neither for Iran nor for Slovenia. He hoped for increase of trade volume between two countries.

Salehi left for Slovenia on Monday for an official one-day trip. During the visit, he is to discuss expansion of Tehran-Ljubljana relations in political, economic, cultural and parliamentary domain as well as other issues of mutual interests.

Salehi is scheduled to meet with his Slovenian counterpart Samuel Zbogar.

Following his visit to Slovenia, Salehi will fly to Vienna on an official visit, which will take place at the invitation of his Austrian counterpart Michael Spindelegger.
