Georgian airline opens Batumi-Moscow flights

21 June 2011 [16:48] - TODAY.AZ
Georgian Airways Air Zena will open direct charter flights from the Black Sea coast resort of Batumi to Moscow and back, the airline announced.

The route will open today with two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Sundays, the Company Representative Nino Giorgobiani said.

The price of a single one-way flight begins at 193 euros.

The airline has been operating charter flights between Tbilisi and Moscow for over a year.

Regular air traffic between Russia and Georgia was stopped after the August war in 2008.

Though flights were later restored, they did not resume their pre-conflict frequency.
