U.S. congressmen visit Tbilisi

A delegation of the U.S. House of Representatives arrived in Georgia today, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi said.

The delegation includes Republican from Ohio Michael Turner, Democrat from California Loretta Sanchez, Republican from Colorado Doug Lamborn and Republican from Iowa Steve King.

The delegation will take part in an Inter-Parliamentary Forum on Democratic Union, the embassy said.

The U.S. congressmen will also hold meetings with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Speaker David Bakradze and other officials.

They will visit the military training center in Krtsanisi, where U.S. Marines train the Georgian militaries for the Afghan mission.
