Tbilisi International Airport resumes work - UPDATE

The Tbilisi International Airport, whose work was paralyzed this morning due to heavy fog, has resumed its activities, the airport told Trend today.

A flight to Minsk and flights in two other directions have already departed. Flights were postponed due to heavy fog earlier today.

"It was the airlines' decision, which they made for safety reasons," the airport said.

Several flights to Baku, Istanbul and other cities in Europe were delayed due to the fog.

An Armavia aircraft flying from Yerevan also failed to land at the airport this morning. While the fog is heavy and it is unclear when the delayed flights will be carried out. Some passengers have already returned their tickets and are looking for alternative ways to leave Tbilisi.
