Iranian president's special envoy: Iran prepares doctrine on Caspian Sea

At present, Iran is working on a plan of actions for further actions at sea, particularly in the environmental field, trade, according to the SWAP scheme. Iran is preparing a document "Iranian doctrine in the Caspian Sea".

It aims to discuss cooperation with the Caspian littoral countries, special envoy of Iranian president on Caspian issues Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh said at a press conference after the Baku summit of Caspian littoral countries (Nov. 18), MEHR agency reported.

He said that Iran has always adhered to the position of equitable division of the sea, taking into account the interests of all coastal countries. The Caspian littoral countries must be more active in the issues on which the positions of the parties coincide, he said.
